I’m a married mom of two young children with a full-time job. I’m up at 4:30, wake the kids up at 5:45 and encourage them along to get ready, gather backpacks, homework, lunch, sports equipment, and so on, and I’m out the door by 6:15 a.m. Drop kids off, drive 30 minutes to work, get there by 7:00 a.m. Work until around 4:15ish, pick up kids, go to sports practice, help with homework, cook dinner, try to fit in a workout, get kids to bed…and it starts all over.

And then there are the weekends. Clean house, pay bills, do laundry, go grocery shopping…. Sometimes I wonder how I’ll ever find time to spend quality time with my kids or my husband…much less my friends! And I know that some women have it even worse. Women today are BUSY! We need friendships badly…but it feels like there’s no time for friends.

Your friends are likely in the same boat as you are. So how do you make sure that they know that even though you don’t have much time for each other, that you still think of them and value their friendship? A challenge for this week is to let them know how much they mean to you.

I challenge you to sit down and write just one note to a friend this week. Get some stamps, and send one friend an actual note in the mail. Tell your friend what you like about her. Share a verse of encouragement with her. Sprinkle her with love that she’ll get when she opens the mail.

“I long to see you again, for I remember your tears as we parted. And I will be filled with joy when we are together again.” 2 Timothy 1:4

Let a friend know how special she is to you with one an affordable travel mug. Write a note and tuck it inside!
